1.    What is the minimum OS necessary for my mobile device to connect to NorthStar accounts?

2.    What do I need installed on my mobile device to connect my NorthStar account to email and other apps?

-    The following apps must be installed on your device depending on the OS:

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

o    Microsoft Authenticator - Must be installed but does not have to be logged into, if you already have this installed and setup for MFA then you are already set.

o    Intune Company Portal - must be installed but DO NOT LOG INTO THIS APP!, it just needs to be installed on the device.

3.    What applications are protected by Mobile Application Management?

-    Here is a list of apps protected by MAM and that will be allowed to share information between them:

o    Outlook

o    Word

o    Excel

o    PowerPoint

o    Teams

o    OneDrive

o    OneNote

o    Edge (must be installed to open links in emails or office documents)

o    Adobe Acrobat Reader

o    Box

o    Mitel Connect

o    Zoom for Intune

o    VLC Player (needed to listen to audio attachments such as Voicemail on Android devices)

4.    What changes will i notice when using managed apps?

- You will be made to create a PIN for each managed application. After setting up the PIN the first time you will be prompted for this PIN each time you open the app. If you have a biometric authentication setup on your device such as a fingerprint or faceID you will be prompted to use that instead of the PIN

5.    How will I know that MAM is setup on my device?

-   You will see the below screen the first time you open a managed app after initial setup or after MAM is pushed to your device
