When working inside Citrix, downloads are saved to your local user disk space, which has a limited quota. To avoid filling up your quota, save files to the shared S drive.
How to Configure Downloads in Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge browser (inside your Citrix session).
- Click the Settings menu (three dots ⋯ in the top-right corner).
- Go to Downloads.
You now have two main options:
Option 1: Change the Default Download Location (Recommended for frequent downloads)
- Under "Location", click Change.
- Browse to and select a folder on the shared S drive.
- Click Select Folder to set it as the new default.
- All future downloads will automatically go to this location.
Option 2: Always Ask Where to Save Files
- Toggle ON the option "Show downloads menu" (or "Ask me what to do with each download" / "Ask where to save each file before downloading").
- Each time you download a file, Edge will prompt you to choose the save location.
- Choose a folder on the S drive when prompted.
Tip: After changing the setting, test it by downloading a small file to confirm it saves to the S drive.
