Once the desktop loads, go to the search bar at the bottom of your desktop and type “Default Apps”

Select “Default apps” to open the area where you can set your default applications and scroll down to web browser.

If not already set, click on web browser, and set the default to Microsoft edge

This is necessary to be able to log in to Vista and any other application that uses your Microsoft account

Once this is done, you will open the Vista client and select the “+” next to Vista Server to add the new Vista server you will be using, going forward.

You will then Type in the new Vista server and click on the check mark so that Vista validates the server.  The new Vista Server address is https://ba7b-vrl.viewpointforcloud.com

Once Vista validates the new Vista Server, click on “Sign in With Trimble ID”

You will now be redirected to the Trimble log in page on your web browser (Edge), where you will enter your NorthStar email address (your email is your Trimble ID) and click next

Once you click next, you will be redirected to the Microsoft login page where you will enter your email and password and authenticate through DUO

Once you have authenticated, you will see a permissions disclaimer.  Click on accept and this will start the login process for Vista.

Make sure to check the box for always allow and then click open.  It will only show up once during first time setup.

You may encounter an Updating application screen. Let that run for a few minutes and then you will get a prompt to restart the client.  Please make sure any popups or Edge browser screens are closed and click on the viewpoint client Icon again and log in.
