When to Use This Procedure
- Needing / wanting to remove an old or unused device from using your subscription.
- If Adobe reports that your “device activation limit” has been reached.
Step 1: Sign-in to your Adobe Account
- Go to https://account.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe account.
- Sign-in using your Northstar email address and your Adobe account password.
- Your personal Adobe account password may differ from your Northstar Windows password.
- If you forgot your Adobe account password, click “Reset your password” to go through the steps to reset it.
Step 2: Find Activated Devices
- Once logged into your account, select “Plans and payment”. Then click “Activated devices”.
Step 3: Remove any unwanted activated devices
- Devices from this list are being authorized to use your Adobe subscription
- Keep in mind that your Adobe subscription has a two- device maximum per account.
- Under the “Action” column select “Deactivate”.
Step 3: Confirm Removal
- Select “Deactivate” in the confirmation window.
- The license seat is immediately released for use on another device.
Notes
- Uninstalling Acrobat does not always deactivate the device.
- If you still have access to the old device, you can also open Acrobat and select Help > Sign Out.
